Is there a good website for buying used fitness equipment? I'm looking for a bar and some weights but the Baton Rouge Craigslist/Classifieds doesn't have much of anything.
Any tips? or should I just bite it and buy new?

What I've seen online has been junk, overpriced, or too far away to be practical. You might get lucky and find something local. Otherwise most retailers offer free shipping, which makes the cost of new stuff comparable with used.

On N. Airline there is a fitness equipment expo. I have no idea what they have, but I would at least call.
