For the past month or so, I wake up in the middle of the night due to my right side lat twitching.

It’s not mild either, it doesn’t want to go away and it keeps me awake.

I’m not working my lats out either, haven’t touched weights in a long time. I eat a pretty balanced diet and take a multivitamin daily.

Anyone have an idea what’s causing this?

Something is setting it off, probably another muscle is weak and the lat is being asked to do extra work.

You can try releasing your lat and serratus - pretty easily done laying on your side with a tennis ball.

My GO TO for twitching muscles is Magnesium Glycinate. Take a big dose for a few days.

Thanks, I’ll try the magnesium.

Make sure it’s Glycinate.

All magnesium is good and has uses, but Glycinate is my favorite for muscle spasm/cramp/soreness
