To me, these numbers sound a lot like secondary hypogonadism. But again, I am just worried that since the total testosterone fell within the "normal range" (264-916) this time around that the endo will just tell me to lose weight and sleep better.

I already have a follow-up with the endo but that is not until mid-June. Am hoping to hear something from them sooner than that though

you prolly do need treatment but to be fair to the doctor....you really should try lifting weights, losing weight, getting in some cardio, get diet on point based around protein and then also sleep 8 hours per night.

try that for 12-16 weeks and see where your numbers are. I mean aint got much to lose except a little bodyfat.

Oh 100%. I lift 5 days a week, cardio 4 days a week. Diet has been in check now for over a month. 180g of protein a day. I think I've lost about 15 pounds in that time. Sleep around 7-8 hours a night. This is just the beginning though.

Update: Endo got back to me about 2nd round of labs. Wants to do an MRI on my pituitary and ANOTHER round of labs 6 weeks from now. Thorough but sheesh, just gotta sit here for 6 weeks?

this is common and the correct way to proceed.

If he/she does then just go another route. Yea its going to cost a bit more but there are loads of health clinics that specialize in TRT and will consider 280 very low, not normal range, and get you on a regimen.

ETA: To expand on what 777 said - he is correct. You probably should get your self in order before going down this path. This isn't a miracle shot, it isn't going to drive your butt to a gym or make you make good food choices. That is all on you

After 2 months, multiple labs, and a MRI on my brain, the endo is finally approving me for injections! I was starting to think she never would. She still definitely kept pushing Clomid but I said "thanks but no thanks" to that. I'm willing to bet she will tell me to do it once every 2 weeks but I know better than that

I read if a Dr recommends this, it's a red flag. All modern research/studies show twice/week is the way to go.

My total was 330 and Dr recommends doing TRT shots. I'm 38. I'm a little nervous about it but I guess it's worth it if it improves my quality of life (I have all the low T symptoms).
