Soreness in right Lat

My right lat has been sore for a couple weeks, maybe even more.
I usually wait 6-7 days between working the same muscle group. My left lay is fine. The right has stayed sore.
Maybe it’s the way I am sleeping?

Is it a strain type soreness or a overworked type soreness?
You might have pulled something and it isn't healing. If you are confident it isn't a strain, I'd try mobility work, smashing it a bit and assessing movement patterns, etc. to look at triggers.

I don’t think it’s a strain. It doesn’t hurt unless I lift. I don’t feel it until I start my workout.

Sure it's your lat and not serratus?

Sounds like a strain. Probably a minor one. Feels ok with light, normal activity but anything that puts excess strain on it( working out/lifting) is too much and it bothers you.
