I finished my normal Wednesday morning workout, cardio. Running, stairs and some body weight stuff.

It was a little tougher workout than normal but nothing crazy. After my last stair sprint I was really winded, but that's not unusual.

It's now been 3 hours since my workout and I am still short of breath and I feel like I can't get air deep into my lungs. Any clue what could be going on?

Eta: I kind of have a wheeze right now. I don't have asthma, and I do have allergies

as always "SEE A DOCTOR"

but it could be exercise-induced bronchoconstriction AKA exercise-induced asthma.

Have you donated blood lately? Could be anemic. I get easily winded after donating.

As others have said. Go see a doctor. Sudden decrease in exercise tolerance or prolonged shortness of breath after exercising should be addressed.
