I had rotator cuff surgery 18 months ago. I have no external rotation in that shoulder. Anybody have an experience with this?

External rotation is mostly RTC. Did you go to Physical Therapy?

Need to work on shoulder mobility, have to ease your way back into it.

You probably have adhesive capsulitis. Get a pack of exercise rubber bands and start stretching and strengthening your shoulder a couple times every day. It will take a couple of months and will hurt like hell. Good luck.
I got a frozen shoulder a few months after a car wreck. Serious work to get mobility and strength back.

If you're in Louisiana pretty sure you can self refer to a PT. The PTs that I've been to all offered a free "basic assessment" and I left with exercises to do and a plan to return if that didn't help my issue (wasn't rotator cuff). Good luck.
