You mean a Doctor or an HMO like People's Choice, Humana, etc. If HMO, stay away from People's Choice. Have heard not so good things about them denying procedures. My husband has Humana Gold and really likes it.

Humana has been good for me. I've been on it for less than a year. Unfortunately I have had to use the services several times...no problems.

Stick with regular Medicare. Don’t use a Medicare HMO.

Humana has been denying acute inpatient rehab (rehab after a stroke, major injury) at an alarming rate. No problem with “regular” Medicare.

Not sure why someone downvoted me, without an explanation. Everyone takes Medicare without a prior authorization (except maybe some concierge doctors).
