Yes, I know this probably the lazy way to do it but I hate counting calories and meal prepping. I saw on here that someone had success with doing an intermittent fast with just a 1 hour eating window at the end of the day. My plan would be Monday through Friday night doing this and only eating dinner. Waking up every Monday through Friday for a workout or run. Then on the weekends live a normal non-restrictive life with beer, food, and whatever else in some moderation. Would this work? Is this safe/healthy? Would my workouts suffer?

ETA: Would I have a drop in energy levels during the day?

I mean, it just sounds like a recipe for not going well.

You're going to be super effing hungry on weekdays eating one single meal and tempted to compensate on your cheat weekends. You can do a lot of damage in two unrestricted days.

Also, I would have major trouble eating once a day and be cheating like a mfer, but maybe that's just me.

The idea of eating once a day for five days straight, then living "normal" on the weekends sounds completely unobtainable to me. But if you have the will power to do it, then I'm sure you could lose some weight. Although, I can't imagine your energy levels would remain the same. But I'm no fitness professional...

also make sure you consider the mental effects of this. If you find yourself binging on the weekends then you're creating a bad relationship with food which will eventually cause dieting issues in the long term when you're not as motivated as you are right now.
