Question For Other Asthma/Allergy Sufferers

I have suffered with asthma all my life. It was worse as a child, but it can still be triggered from time to time as an adult. I also have sinus issues which results in my nose being stuffy/runny almost every day of the year.
Recently I got an air purifier for my bedroom and that thing has cured me. My nose is wide open 24/7 (at least when I am home) and I actually understand what it means to be able to breathe for the first time in my life.
I got a HEPA purifier which supposedly captures all airborne particles down to 0.3 microns in size. It cost me about $100 total and can clean a room up to about 400 square feet. (CADR rating of 250ish).
I had heard of air purifiers but for some reason never tried one. I figured they were snakeoil. But, I'll be damned, these SOB's actually work, at least for me.
Any other allergy/asthma baws here had success with these machines or am I an isolated case?

My nose is stopped up every morning when I wake up, but one shot of nasal spray clears it up.

Are you over weight?
What's that got to do with it?

Being overweight has a lot to do with several ailments, both conspicuous and inconspicuous.

Right. However, I was looking for a more specific explanation to the question.

I don't see how weight has anything to do with asthma. You realize youre born with that, right?
And while I am getting a little gut now that I'm damn near 40, I have been an ectomorph most of my life. I was 6'0 and 170 in high school and college.

I was asthmatic until I lost weight. I was going to recommend him drop weight. I do realize skinny people have asthma too. You people are way too defensive

Not being defensive, just legitimately curious.

What purifier? I was thinking of getting the fancy Dyson one. Make sure your vacuum has a HEPA filter as well.
