Question about deadlift form.

If I’m doing a mind muscle connection deal where I focus on the muscle I’m using to lift what would my focus be on deadlifts?
I think I used to be using too much back and it was making my grip fail. The last time I went much more legs and it felt easier and my grip held much better but I’m not sure if that’s the correct way to do it.

Hold on tight. Try to push your heels through the floor

There are about a billion possible deadlift cues. For a mind muscle connection I focus on squeezing the glutes after the bar passes the knees. Flexing the glutes helps bring the hips forward to meet the bar.

I’d say focus on squeezing you glutes to drive you hips forward.
To help with this you can warm up with Romanian deadlifts, think about relaxing your glutes on the way down, and explosively firing/squeezing them on the way back up

Watch eddie hall's deadlift instruct video.
The goal is to minimize lateral movement while maintaining form.
For me, a deadlift is upper back and arse.

I went with this today and felt much better. No grip issues and able to handle the weight easier. I think I was definitely starting the lift with my back before.
