Keep your elbows in. Pushups done properly are fine. People, especially women and men with no experience benching or in .mil, tend to flare their elbows way out, which can put the shoulder at a disadvantage.

I knocked it out the other morning. That second set of 55 was a mofo

I was like why 55 instead of 50. For some reason those last 5 kicked my arse on that second set.

About a year ago I tried to warm up with 1 set of 75 before a chest work out. It wrecked my whole workout and I had to drop weight on my bench big time.

I can do about 25 per set. Proof that I need to do more push ups

Thats great. I like slow, controlled pace pushups as well which does a good job of constant tension. Bands are also good for this
