Psoriasis/eczema treatment

I know these are technically two different conditions, but they apparently have very similar ways to be treated. I’ve had on and off problems for years with psoriasis flare ups on my fingers and hands, mainly when it gets cold cold during the winter and it causes them to crack up and hurt just to try and hold stuff. I was wondering if any of y’all had any success treating these conditions with certain treatments whether prescribed or “homeopathic”. Usually hand lotions and creams help just trying to branch out and learn something because it can start to drive me crazy.

I've had issues with this as well the last few years for some reason. Mine is mostly on the tops of my hands and around my elbows.
I've been using Eucerin the last couple of months, and it's helped a ton. I just put it on after I shower daily.
Make sure you buy the eczema type. It's the one with the red labeling.

I just went through a bad psoriasis flare up. It hits me mostly on my scalp. This was my first experience with plaque psoriasis as well.
Mine are triggered by alcohol and sugar. Once I get my diet in check, it goes away.
Since it’s my scalp, I also limit the kind of hair products I use. I also shampoo/condition it only two-three times a week and only use cold water on my hair at all times.

Thanks I will check that out. Do you notice it’s worse in the winter?

Yeah I did some research and apparently alcohol and sugar are normal triggers to cause flare ups. Stress is too. I also noticed if I took immune support supplements it caused flare ups because I guess it effects the over active immune system part of it.
My symptoms are so aggravating because it causes my fingers to crack up and get scaly so it hurts to use my hands sometimes. I guess I should work on moderating alcohol and sugar and see if that helps.

It makes sense. If you reduce inflammation in your body through diet, your body will not become inflamed. When your body is inflamed, your immune system is in hyperdrive fighting that. There will be flare ups of disease and conditions like psoriasis. My brother had bad eczema. When he keeps to a low carb lifestyle, he doesn’t have any issues.
