The big Mercedes half/full Marathon has been postponed from mid February to the Spring here in Birmingham.
I assume many other events like this have been essentially canceled across the country.
This really does affect people like myself who use these races as good motivational tools to get out and exercise to prepare myself for the race.
Without them, it is not the same to prepare for something that is not happening.
Have canceled races affected your efforts?

It did for me.
I was training for a half (my first) in April. Got pushed two times - so I adjusted my training plan accordingly. Then turned into a virtual run in mid-Sept.
By the time race day came, my body was beat to hell. I had actually stopped running for a couple of weeks because I was not recovering quickly enough.
Still ran 1:46, so for my first half I was overall pleased with it - but I expected to run better and think I would have had I been able to run with people and my training not been screwed up by multiple run date changes.
