My 9 year old son has been having severe allergies in the early spring for the past 3 years. Can barely open his eyes or breathe. Over the counter meds not helping. Any remedies that have worked for yall?

I’ve always heard local honey is good for allergies. Give it a google.
Edit: probably not a cure for serious allergy issues though. More to help with seasonal allergies. You should see a doctor.

GO to the Doctor. I still deal with horrible allergies due to pollen and have since childhood.
Household things to do:
1) Wash clothes and don't leave them outside.
2) Wash sheets regularly.
3) Wash any inside animals regularly (seeing a pattern?)
4) A rainbow vacuum has made a huge difference in my life. We clean 2 rooms per day which keeps each room getting cleaned each week. High traffic areas get it more often including furniture and mattresses. We run the air purifier setting by the air intake all day and night. If my allergies get real bad, we run it in my room all day and night. Buy a refurbished on online.

Perhaps get him tested, the results might help avoid key triggers. I got tested and was surprised that my offender was Johnson Grass, so I go out of my way to avoid when it’s in full swing.
