I have a Fitbit Inspire 2, and I was happy with it for a while. However, at some point, it stopped tracking my bike/hike/run/swim path and distance and just started logging them. Which was annoying. Now it rarely syncs up to my phone like it is supposed to .

I want something that will log my exercise, track my path, and keep up with the important data. And I'd prefer something less than 150 dollars.

Garmin instinct 2 watch is just slightly more on sale regularly for 199$.
20 day battery life and does a great job as a watch tracker and can get mesg notifications from your phone.

If you’re in the Apple ecosystem then just the basic Apple Watch that’s like $200.

If you’re not in that eco system then can’t help.

I don’t really want a smart watch. I just want something for working out and hiking.

Had Fitbit Charge 5 for years.. loved it.

Upgraded to Garmin Venu and it’s awesome.

Don’t skimp on fitness trackers. Anything related to health and fitness is worth every penny.

And I agree on smartwatches. They’re good for cell phone related functions but not as accurate for fitness

I like the garmin ecosystem for the most part.
I have a garmin venu. I never really wanted a smart watch either but the ability to get texts is nice.

One thing to do is check if your insurance has any rewards programs they may defray the cost of the whatever watch you choose. That's what I did with mine

I’ve been considering the Polar H10 (~$100 on Amazon) to track my heart metrics while swimming/running/rowing.

I’m not sure it’s what you’re looking for—it’s a heart monitor but it won’t track your steps or distances.

I haven't used the Inspire 2 or any other tracker for that matter, but the Inspire 3 had been great for me. I'm not a watch guy, or any accessories really, but this has been a great fitness tracker for me. It's a low profile band that gets phone notifications which is all I need. I found I've been leaving my phone behind around the house instead of checking for missed calls/texts so often, which is an added bonus. I think it was $75 on sale.

7+ day battery life. The app works great. Tracks GPS off your phone, otherwise the Charge model has built in, but wider band style. Plenty of band options on Amazon. I got a stretch band and I just slide it off before getting into the sauna to top off the charge every so often, otherwise I just check the app in the morning for sleep score, and usually at night to review metrics. I think Garmin and Samsung have something similar, but haven't needed to look in the last year.
