I am doing all of the stretches and a tennis ball and a frozen water bottle and NSAIDS.

I really wanted to know if anyone here had luck with a shoe or insert. Preferably a shoe that does not look like the one every old man wears while wearing big jorts and using a walker.

Thanks in advance.

About 10-15% of people that experience plantar fasciitis will have it chronically for years.

I had a patient with this and I gave her a steroid shot in the plantar fascia and as much as 3 months after the injection, she was still "95%" improved. That was about 6-7 months ago and wish I knew how she was doing now.

I got tired of getting shots in my foot, and just happened to mention the issue in front of my chiropractor. He began doing some adjustments to my hip, and within a few weeks the fasciitis subsided. Could've been coincidence, could've been the cure. All I know is that I don't miss that 15 months of shocking pain every time I stepped out of bed in the morning. shite sucks.

I just did a long post on the OT about PF

for shoes I usually recommend NB, Asics, Brooks, Mizunos

We carry the spenco polysorb inserts in our clinic and have had excellent results with them. I'll see upwards of 1,000 patients a year with plantar fasciitis

I suggest sleeping in the brace. I bought mine from CVS ($35) and it works. That is a special type of pain in the morning and it alleviates it.
