I haven't ridden in years. I have a bad-ish back and live in an extremely hilly area. I'd like to be able to ride with my grandson comfortably (including some light trails). I've seen a fair number of these around but don't know what to think.

Do I need at least some forked suspension?

Are they all absurdly heavy compared to "regular" bikes?

Are the batteries decent?

etc.

TIA!

Birmingham used to have them for rent. They were heavy. Also a lot of fun to ride around town. Good luck!
