Need to use it before I lose it...

Ok,
Here I go. I need some advice on taking better care of myself. Just turned 57 in September and mentally feel much younger.
I am 5'll and 175 pounds. I bike a minimum of 2 miles, 5 days a week. I can tell that my body is trying to let me know that I'm not a youngster any more.
Any suggestions on how to gain muscle and maintain a realistic balance of cardio and strength program would be greatly appreciated.
I don't mind the work, I want to be as healthy as possible within reason.

I think the older you get, the more important it is to lift relatively heavy. It helps keep muscle and bone density. Do a light wrap of the knees or get supportive knee sleeves. Elbow sleeves also.
