Anybody do any direct neck work? I feel it a little when I work traps and in barbell pullovers and I don't have a pencil neck, so I guess it does some good. I used to do wrestler's bridges but probably not a great job to do those tbh.

I used to do quite a bit with the neck harness and pretty sure it saved my life one time when I got slammed by a wave into the ocean floor. Hit the bottom harder than I have ever felt in my life and I have been in plenty of fights in my younger days. Really thought I had broken my neck as did my friends.

Also last year when I got rear ended sitting at a red light by a guy going 40+ who never hit the breaks, didn't even get really sore.

I attribute the above to working the neck extensions in both directions for years. I personally believe it should be apart of everyone's program unless they have a degenerative disease.

Yes. I have a slight issue in a disc, probably from an old football hit, and do neck work to keep the muscles strong and keep surgery away.

I do plate extensions 4 ways. It's the simplest thing without a harness and keeps the weight controlled, which can be an issue with wrestlers bridges. Sometimes I'll use bands anchored on my yoke instead of plates.
