One of the running podcasts I listen to had the inventor of this on (some physical therapy professor from Oregon). Kinda like the bosu ball, but specifically to develop stability in the foot, ankle, hip.

Used it after my ankle surgery.
Useful but I haven’t touched one since my rehab ended. You can do similar strengthening exercises doing rear leg elevated split Bulgarian squats.

fricking love it.
I got one for my teen son (elite ranked runner) to help with foot strength. I program him to basically play on it for a set amount of time. Has really helped overcome some PF issues.
Now, I tore my meniscus last year and it’s also (unexpectedly) helped with my recovery
