Football season is coming up. On sundays, fire up the grill while you watch football and then cook the sides in the kitchen while you watch. Easy as hell. By the time one game is over you could easily have a whole week of meals prepped. I do it every week for me, my wife and kids. All separate meals. Wife and I have different macros and different taste and I cook things like tacos, spaghetti, steak, hamburgers and hot dogs for kids every week. Makes our busy arse weeks easy.

I see a bunch of people suggesting the steamable veggie packs. Are yall buying those in bulk somewhere to lower the cost? That gets pricey compared to bulk frozen and/or fresh

I prefer fresh for me but buy the bulk bags from sams for the wife. Much cheaper than the grocery store crap. I buy everything from sams. I go Sunday mornings usually and get

Steamable broccoli
Brussel sprouts
Sweet potatoes
Mushrooms
Asparagus
Strawberries
Some type of melon
The double pack of ground turkey
Chicken thighs and breast
Salmon
Some type of steak
Ground beef
Italian sausage
Usually have pasta
Tomato paste and crushed tomatoes
Egg whites
Fresh salsa
Pico
Avocado
Grass fed kerrygold cheese
Shredded cheese
Tortillas

From Krogers I get
Grass fed Swiss cheese
Grass fed butter
Uncured bacon
Milk for baby
Cashew milk
Laura's lean ground beef if I want hamburgers that week.

From farmers market on saturdays I get
Milk
Cream
Eggs
If they have grass fed beef available I get it there instead of sams but it's not always available.

This is to feed a family of five.

Thai red curry chicken
Lima beans
Red quinoa

I usually buy a few bags of frozen vegetables and frozen chicken breasts and that's my lunch for the week

Id marinate and grill some steaks or a pork temderloin if you wanna spice it up

Also the slow cooker is great.

I usually will do a pot roast and that will feed me for an entire week. It tastes better than eating the same bland chicken breast over and over.

The reply isn't specifically for you, jsk, but what about breakfast?

That seems to be the meal missed by meal preps I've seen minus a dish or two.

The standard 2 eggs 2 egg whites with salt/pepper or Tony's gets vury vury old.

Can always do sliced sausage and smoothed potatoes, essentially make a quiche with whatever you want in it. I also know people that make the sandwiches and do Saran Wrap and just grab and go in the morning.

I always want to do things like this. But figuring out the macros/measuring it is so inconsistent
