Low testosterone caused by insulin

If you guys are having to take test under 40 it very likely to be your diet.
Taking Testosterone? Why Not Fix the Deeper Cause!
The most common cause of low testosterone is high insulin. This usually for most people is due to having insulin resistance. Insulin suppresses testosterone and HGH. So if you are eating a bunch of carbs or a bunch of lean protein you are getting a bunch of insulin. Fats control your hormones. So if you aren't eating fats it makes you at risk for low test, diabetes, inflammation, and all sorts of other insulin problems. There's a lot of info on diabetics have low test levels.
13 Things That Spike Insulin & Cause Insulin Resistance (Pre-diabetes)
1. Sugar
2. Refined grains
3. Frequent eating
4. Lean low fat protein
5. Excess protein
6. Soy oil (GMO)
7. Tran fats (hydrogenated)
8. Cortisol
9. Diuretics
10. Statins
11. MSG (monosodium glutamate)(modified food starch)
12. Mineral and vitamin deficiencies

Low testosterone levels in men are associated with insulin resistance or reduced insulin sensitivity.

Relationship Between Testosterone Levels, Insulin Sensitivity, and Mitochondrial Function in Men
OBJECTIVE— The goal of this study was to examine the relationship between serum testosterone levels and insulin sensitivity and mitochondrial function in men.
RESULTS—...Testosterone levels were positively correlated with insulin sensitivity (r = 0.4, P < 0.005).
Given that low testosterone levels predict development of type 2 diabetes in men and that aging is accompanied by insulin resistance and a decline in testosterone secretion, we hypothesized that testosterone is an important modulator of insulin sensitivity and mitochondrial function in men.
Glycemic Index Versus the Insulin Index
Lots of possible links but I just put up a few. The videos have further links in the description.

My case wasn't because of this but I agree 90% of the cases is diet and lack of exercise.

You are correct sir! Anyone contemplationg using TRT due to low test should try and get their test levels back to normal by avoiding the things you listed and lifting heavy things. TRT is a money maker for docs. If they can get someone on TRT, they have a patient for life and they know it. I would not get on TRT until you have exhausted every other avenue to gettting T levels back to normal witbhout the use of Synthertic T. If your T levels are still tanked, T will change your life for the better. Do your own homework, and seek out a really good Doc and/or clinic that knows what the hell they are doing.

That's not true for everyone. In fact it's prolly 50/50 that are legit medical condition and then the other half from diet and exercise.

Never said anything was true for “everyone” Not sure where that was directed.

I doubt it is close to that. Everyone I know, in person, on it is rocking the beer belly. Drinking their beer, estrogen fuel, quite often. If this was a healthy country I'd agree, but man, I say it's easy to say at least 75% of those are from diet.
One of the main reasons for this thread was for people taking inordinate amounts of lean protein. I knew insulin stopped growth hormone, but I didn't know it had such an effect on testosterone. The insulin index is pretty interesting stuff and very lean protein, like whey, triggers insulin surprisingly hard. So I cobbled this together to give some tips for the less knowledgeable about what they may be eating that is holding them back.
I figured you were not in the diet category, as any regular here knows you look into stuff thoroughly before you do it

insulin is not always a bad thing, you realize that right? And in a normal healthy individual insulin spikes are good if timed right. Insulin also doesn't make you fat, eat more calories than you burn does.
You don't get fat from eating too much protein, I mean you can but in general you don't because of the Thermic effect of food with protein having by far the hardest. Also protein is the hardest macro to store as body fat according to studies and real world info. As far as Whey spiking insulin, who cares. The effect is minuscule over time.
You are completely overthinking things and worrying about stuff that has an effect on a very small portion of people/things. Bottom line is most people are fat because they eat too many calories period. They also do not lift, do not eat nearly enough protein and do not track anything to adjust.
and maybe I am out of touch with who is truly on TRT. Only people I know are older gentleman and the few young guys I know are guys that hit the gym but still have were having hormone problems.

See a good qualified endocrinologist and quit the guess work.
