Looking for new place to workout in South Baton Rouge

In a rut and looking for a change of scenery. Mid 40s moderately good shape, looking for somewhere where I can do functional strength on my own. Would love to go to LSURec, but it’s a haul to get there with my schedule. Not looking for static class times as my schedule is a mess. Any thoughts on where to go?
Have tried YMCA and Spectrum and they were pretty run down/dirty for what I like. I’m on the ground a decent amount and the lack of overall cleanliness made it hard for me to feel comfortable doing what I needed to do.

Have you thought about places that have classes but also offer open gym times? Not in Baton Rouge, but the gym I go to (not a crossfit affiliate but operates just like one) has classes in the morning and evening but has open gym the rest of the day. Most of those times you would have the place to yourself. Even if classes are going on a lot of the places have plenty of space of individuals to do their own thing. Plus, open gym memberships are generally cheaper.

That’s probably my best bet. Any ideas on places you’d suggest?

Not in Baton Rouge but you might start checking out the websites of different crossfit type gyms.

Is LA Fitness on Siegen too far? ETA: Now called Esporta Fitness.
CrossFit gyms in your area: Cajun and 3090 in the Prairieville area and Virtus in Gonzalez.
