Lateral part of shoulder? Is it tore?
So I worked out shoulders around 9am and went heavy 3×5 on shoulder presses that day. Later got invited to go tubing with some friends and while tubing got slung off and banged up my shoulder. For a few days I could barely lift my shoulder. It's been a little over a week and i can still feel a nagging pain when laterally lifting my shoulder and even while benching. Haven't even attempted to work out shoulders. Any suggestions?

Probably not torn based on this. Shoulders can take a long time to heal due to small amounts of blood flow to the area, but probably a joint strain if i had to guess

Thanks for the response. Anything I can do to help the process of getting it back right?

1. Ibuprofen
2. Spin up your shoulder before any physical activity. I.e do mobility exercises. I’d do them every day even on non workout days
3. Ice your shoulder after working out for 20 minutes.

I have a 20% year of my labrum and those three things allow me to still do anything. Weights, tennis, golf, etc.

BTW - overhead movements will cause the most stress.
