Know of anyone who has recently had the stretta procedure for severe reflux?

I am considering having it done. Any feedback based off of a real-patient experience is deeply appreciated.

My reflux was too severe and I have a hernia. I’d have tried it if I would have been a candidate. Make sure you have a barium test and maybe even an upper endoscopy to verify that it won’t be time/money wasted. Most insurances don’t approve of stretta.

I had the nissen in 2011. I had severe reflux prior to and have had zero issues since. The recovery is about 4 weeks . I’d do it again in a heartbeat. Dr Haussmann at the Lake did mine.
