I’m not in the gym with you, so what I’m saying isn’t necessarily a fact, but it is possible for a flawed squat technique to cause knee pain. If you aren’t mobile enough in your ankles, for example, you can have some pain in your knee because the shear load is distributed there. 777 mentioned doing the Knees Over Toes stuff. That will probably address that.

I'm sure it's probably either technique, or that I went too heavy too fast. I'm going to stick with squats for now, but drop the weight and increase reps while paying closer attention to technique. I've seen that widening the stance and flaring knees out a bit more can help, so I'll try that.
