this morning. Not bad for a 48 year old. Paced myself with .50/50 splits. Longest I ever did in one swim.

Short course I assume by the 25, but meters or yards? In any case, I hope to get to that pace at that distance. If yards, I'm a hair faster on my 1000 yard time trial, but start to die off pretty fast at about 2000 yds. Need to build up my endurance for 4000+.

Yes short course. I probably could had done a 3700 if I paced myself better. First time doing a long swim like this over a 1650. I am happy with my performance and look forward to the winter invitational. Probably swim the 500, 200 free and 100 back and breast.

Pacing is tough for me too, but sounds like you have a pretty good pace to knock that distance out in that time. Especially if you had an even split.
Now anything shorter than 500 and I'm slow......super slow. I think the fastest 100 I ever swam was like 1:19.

What meet/where are you swimming? We’ve got a meet (Southern Masters) coming up in Biloxi during March. I’m always looking for different meets to go to. Short Course Nationals is back at Indy this year. That’s always a fun trip.
