My daily routine consists of this:
Generally wake up around 4:30-4:45. Out the door around 5:30. I go to local Crossfit gym at 6:00am, head to work around 7-7:30 until 4:30ish.

I really like the benefits of fasting, on weekends I usually do a 24 or occasionally a 48 if I don't have much going on.
Through the week I do intermittent fasting with an eating window of 11:00am - 7:00pm.

I have read a lot of differing opinions on consuming protein immediately after workouts vs waiting till later in the day to avoid breaking my fast. Working out in the afternoon isn't sustainable for me so the option of changing my routine isn't really on the table.

Question 1: Should I do away with IF through the week to consume protein right after I work out even if I am hitting my macros most days?

Question 2: I like pre-workout. Some guys at the gym use Pre-Kaged Sport. I have tried it before and liked it. Gets the blood going in the morning without making your heart rate through the roof during HIIT. If I started taking it daily, would the pre-workout break my fast? Nutritional label states it is only 10 calories

I do like coffee as well, but I am notorious for sipping on the same 20oz cup of coffee all day long. I do not like chugging coffee lol

It is very easy for me to gain weight and muscle mass. I usually bounce around 215-225lbs. The reason I am wanting to shed some of the excess fat is to help with the gymnastic movements and just my tank in general.

Thanks in advance

I guess it depends on your preworkout. I just saw a TikTok of a guy taking preworkout while wearing a glucose monitor and it didn't raise his glucose. I wouldn't get so in the weeds with it that it ends up making your day less enjoyable.

1: It doesn't matter what time of day you consume your protein.

2: Any benefits of fasting beyond calorie reduction are dubious.

I take pre workout at 5am and it doesn’t throw me out of my fasting window because the little amount of calories it has. I’d continue taking low cal pre in the morning and then eat your first meal at lunch. That’s what I do atleast.

Look into Perfect Amino. It gives you what you need with zero calories. Take 5 before and after workout.

Workout and not break fast but not lose muscle.
