Two years ago, I was at 225lbs (5'8").
Diabetic with triglycerides at 5,000.
A1C level at 8.9 %.
February 01: began small: started eating blueberries, apples, butterbeans, green beans, and tomatoes as snacks. Grilled chicken and no fried food.
This morning, I am at 199 lbs. triglycerides at 1,100. A1C at 7.4 %
Not great but a start. I'm eating more protein. And eating less bread. Not counting calories but eating green vegetables and grilled chicken five times per week. Walking 5 days per week ~ 30 minutes per walk.
Turn 50 years old later this year. Brother died last year of a heart attack. Make small changes and drink lots of water.
No matter what you eat, realize that food is not the answer to your problems. 15 minutes after eating a large pizza, your problems are still there.

Yeah. I just know I'll never take measurements like I should and don't really know what my BF is. It was 21% around this time last year and I'm probably 10-12 heavier now. Some muscle some fat.
I upped the protein to 225 and going to leave all the macros the same for workout and rest days for now. Just to get myself under control. Time to kick some arse.

I just use my bathroom scale. It's got a built in bf%. I'm sure it's inaccurate as hell but still does the trick for tracking a trend.

I had an Aria, but I left it when I moved.
Might look into getting another one for tracking purposes. I don't really use a fitbit anymore though so I'll look for a cheaper scale.

Will updating my weight today affect my calories for the rest of the week? Or do your calories only change weekly?

Only update your weight weekly. I take my weekly average and put it in as my weight.

Sweet. Thanks man.
I've gone 3-4 days without a binge and I already am feeling a lot better. Also helps that I've been getting some walking and stair-climbing in the mornings. I want to hop on the Jacobs ladder, but I'm afraid I will die.
