I’ve heard this term. I don’t know much about it other than how it’s calculated. Max effort for a period of time to get your HR up, then stop and measure the difference between HR at start and HR one minute later.

I ran intervals tonight and for giggles I measured mine. I did 4x.75 miles at near race pace. Ending HR was consistently in the 188-189 range. After one minute, HR was consistently 30 points lower. I can’t find much online to give me information on that value.

Maybe I’m not sure what you’re asking but Ive always understood it to mean how long it takes to get back to your baseline or resting heart rate after activity. The quicker being the better of course. Sorry if I missed the point and am restating the obvious.
