Looking to get surgery on my man boobs. I’m in relatively great shape but no matter the muscle I develop or the fat I burn, still have fat nips and glands behind them. I don’t have a severe case but it’s enough that it’s hindering me from wearing what I want and being self conscious when my shirt is off. I’m 35 and 6ft 180lbs. Anyone had the surgery and know what recovery is like? Would you say it was worth it? What was your total cost?

Not to cast judgement but is that from the juice? I’m just curious.

Old juice head? Only reason I'm asking is I had friends have it in high school and right after, from juice. I felt like I had it when I was heavier. End of senior year into my fat post high school days. Once I lost a good bit of weight, it seemed to go away.

I got surgery for it almost 20 years ago. Among the best decisions I ever made.

My cost was something like $4600 back then. It's probably $7500 now if I was guessing.

Eta: mine was basically all gland tissue excision and not lipo due to gyno caused by epilepsy meds I had to take as an adolescent/teenager. Recovery was easy. You take it easy for a couple days after surgery then wear a compression vest for a couple weeks and that's about it.

Man, Huey I love to hear this. Been dreading the recovery. Hate the thought of surgery at all but have lived with this since puberty. Never done any steroids, I’m just one of the unlucky few who grew up with big nips and lots of tissue behind them.

Can you tell me, do you still have sensation in your nipples? Do they still react to hot and cold? My gyno really wouldn’t be very noticeable if my nips didn’t inflate so badly when I get hot. I am in good shape so they pass as nice pecs otherwise but in the heat I’m lookin like headlights haha. Have to constantly give them a flick or pinch to look normal.

Appreciate everyone’s input. Gonna go for a consultation.

Yeah I have what I would say is regular nerve sensation. I do remember prior to surgery feeling like my nipples were overly sensitive all the time. After surgery there was pain and other odd nerve shenanigans for a while and as time went on after surgery the nerves seemed to quiet down. It's very rare now that I'm aware of my nipples whereas before I was self conscious about them basically all the time.

Out of pocket? What Dr.?

I've wanted this done for years. Always been thin never hitting more than 210 lbs at 6'1". When I was young and dumb a supplement shop sold me oral hormones without me realizing what it was (might have been Tren). I had no idea about cycling or anything. My tits have never been the same. I'm 185-190 now and still have moobs. It's depressing and I'm sick of being self conscious about it.

I don’t really have anything to add in terms of information but sincerely wish you good luck. I hope that it works for you and gets you the results that you want.

Many health insurers will not cover this surgery as they consider it cosmetic.
