I workout 4 days a week using the following splits:
Mon - Chest, Triceps, & Calves
Tues - Back, Biceps, & Abs
Wed - Light Chest, Shoulders, & Calves
Thurs - Legs & Abs

I usually row, cycle or incline walk after my Tues and Thurs workouts for about 15 min.

I would like to start adding a supplemental workout on Saturdays to make sure I don't get lazy on the weekends. Would I be better off doing straight cardio on Saturdays or would it be better to do some kind of full body circuit?

eta. I'm mostly trying to bust through somewhat of a fat loss plateau at the moment as I've been stuck at 178 for the past couple of weeks with 0 movement.

Just a thought...why not space out your workouts throughout 7 days and try and hit them harder? It sounds like you have time.

I'm also a big fan of hitting a body part two times a week.

I prefer to go ahead and knock out my splits in the first 4 days of the week because all I have time for in the evenings is a workout then dinner. On Fridays I'm off early, so I save that afternoon to run errands/do yard work/get things done in general. I usually like to hold a spot open on at least one day of the weekend for a fishing trip, hike/bike, or golf.

My fiancee wants to start working out at least one day on the weekends, so I told her I would join her. Just looking for something extra to add to my current split. I feel like the 4 days in a row is fine as is because I'm lifting heavy, and I haven't shown any issues with recovery.

Get outside and play.

Trail running, mountain biking, hill sprints, join an adult ultimate frisbee team, etc
