I’m mid 40’s, developed rosacea around 10 years ago. Painful bright red bumps across my nose and cheeks. I was fortunate and always had great skin, rarely a zit through highschool, so this came as a surprise to me.

The dermatologist basically told me i was stuck with it for life, and that it would come and go. They tried a variety of creams, none of which worked well. The most effective thing for me ended up being low dose doxycycline by mouth every single day of my life. I never liked the idea of taking medicine every day, so I would often quit taking it to see if maybe the rosacea finally went away. To my dismay it would always return after about 2-3 days of no medication.

One of the creams they tried was Soolantra, which is Ivermectin. It would actually make my face worse, so they told me to discontinue use. Fast forward to a month and half ago, and I catch Covid. My initial symptom was a stuffy nose, followed by 103 fever that night. My doctor started me on the FLCCC I -MASK+ protocol, which involves Ivermectin. Within 24hrs I was practically fine. Symptoms never progressed, fever went away. I did lose smell (not taste) the second day when I started the Ivermectin, but it returned the following day.

I quit taking my daily dose of doxy when I started the I -MASK+ protocol. I noticed my face was clear as can be at the end of my 10 day sabbatical, and never resumed my daily doxycycline. Here we are about a month and a half later, and still no rosacea. Not a single blemish.

So I’m wondering/hoping that the PO ivermectin killed off whatever may have been causing my rosacea. To me there has to be a correlation, being that Ivermectin cream is a known treatment. Who knows, only time will tell. Keeping my fingers crossed though, I really hated the thought of having to take that pill everyday for the rest of my life.

I had what i thought was adult acne and i just delt with it for a couple of years. it just got worse so finally went to a derm.

Found out i have rosacea and not acne. I was put on doxycycline for 45 days and a mixture of Azelaic Acid and Ivermectin that i put on every night.

Its cleared me up. Sometimes ill still get a little red spot kind of around my sideburns but it goes away within a day after showing up. I think its just a bit of irritation from sweating while working out.
