Any good teas or supplements that you would recommend that I can either get online or at GNC?

There’s a lot of folks on here that will claim detoxes and cleanses are wastes of money. They may be right. But there is legit science behind the benefits of simply fasting.
IF is a good way to eat if for no other reason than you typically consume less calories in a short window. But I’m talking about a legit, 0 calorie 24, 36, 48, 72 hour fast. Rhonda Patrick is a proponent, has her own podcast, and is a guest on others. Her and Dr. Peter Attia are into longevity or increasing health span. So not necessarily living longer, but being healthy and active longer. Think “70 is the new 40.” And there’s something about the process of starving your body of calories for an extended period of time that helps repair DNA/RNA or something. Interesting stuff, though can be a bit too “jargony” at times. I’m gonna check out the others mentioned above, too.
I’ve also recently picked up a book called Ketofast by Dr. Joseph Mercola. Not sure if he focuses mainly on IF, but I’m pretty sure he’s a proponent of a longer fast as well.
Which reminds me—I read a book years ago by Jordan Rubin, I think. Pretty sure he was dealing with health issues in his youth for a while that wouldn’t seem to go away. He was religious, so he began to fast as part of that practicing his faith. I don’t remember how long the fast was, but it helped his health issue and he eventually began incorporating 1 day of fasting every week. My New Year’s resolution is to try to do this 1 day a week myself. Not just to deny myself the calories and reap whatever benefits that provides, but as a form of self-discipline. Gonna be hard to do that in Louisiana where so much of our culture revolves around food, so we’ll see how long I last.
