So this morning was first time i have worked out in 18 days. Unfortunately I got an infection in my right quad due to my testosterone shot. Not sure what happened as I have taken over a 1000 shots in the last 7 years since I started the original fertility treatment and this is the first issue I have had. Did everything the same as I have always done and took every precation that a doctor themselves would. Only thing i can think of is because I use an 18g draw needle and it was the last shot in the vial, it had put enough big holes in the rubber stopper to cause the vial to become unsterile. Or somehow sucked up a piece of the rubber stopper and didnt realize it.
Finally got cleared by the doctor on monday but we have been so busy with baseball practices for my 3 kids i couldnt find time at night to do it. So after failing to be able to workout last night, I decided it was time (atleast during baseball & football seasons) to start geting up in the morning and hitting it.
Kept it simple this morning with a push, pull, squat pattern.
KB Press- 53lbs bells- 3x5
KB Front Rack Squat- 53lbs bells- 3x5
Neutral Fat Grip Chins- 3x8
Dont want to kill myself after the long layoff. I will ramp it up some starting next week. But I gave up all direct sources of carbs for lent and other than a post workout shake, I am trying to fast from dusk to dawn for lent so.....ramping up is realitive lol.

Keep grinding homie! I’m about to hit week 2, day 2 of base 5/3/1.
Got a FreeMotion dual cable cross (with foot pedestals) being delivered in the next seven days. Like the one coop reviewed but white instead of stainless steel. (Feet are stainless steel though)

Man, that blows 7’s. Hopefully getting back on the horse is easy for you. Where’d you scoop that George??? Do they have other equipment they’re trying to unload?
Did some heavy DL’s on the trap bar this morning and I love it even more. Really felt a lot more activation in my lower body as a whole. Not sure how it worked like that, but I’ll be switching to trap bar for deadlifts for now. I’ve toyed around with the idea of doing a powerlifting comp towards to end of the year so I’ll eventually have to get back to conventional lifting at some point if I decide to do that. In the meantime, I don’t see how I’m not getting stronger at conventional anyway with trap bar lifting if I’m feeling more activation and it’s not like I’ll just forget how to pull conventional in the next 8 months.

A place called Primo Fitness in Santa Ana. They are a worldwide used equipment seller and they happen to only be 20 mins from me.
They were holding it for another guy and he hadn’t paid yet. I came in and swooped it up.
The guy said that in 30 years, they’ve only had 4 of those models come in and he took one of them for his garage gym.
They did warn me that it’s impossible to move once it’s offloaded off the pallet.
The sticker on the front is peeling on the top left corner, and the paint on the stacks is pretty worn so I have them working on that.
$2900 .... which is expensive for a piece of gym equipment .... but an absolute steal for this model. (That’s with delivery included)

Yeah that’s not bad at all considering the equipment. That adjustable model for a cable machine is the absolute best imo

That is actually a good price.

No doubt, it’s an absolute steal. I could turn around and resell it for double I’m sure.
And agreed Dixie, this is the best dual cable machine out there.

I’ve had so much fun with garage gym equipment that I’m pretty sure I’d blow every dollar on gym shite if I won the lottery.

Oh for sure. Gym equipment is why I play with crypto lol. I'm trying to make enough where I can go all sorinex on my main equipment
Personally I would want the one George got or the original mech6 design on the kingsbox version as I prefer a stand alone lat pulldown/low row.

I’m more than happy with my Rogue ML-490, but I told my wife that we’re doing a sorinex apex rack in the house we eventually build one day.

Same. Future purchase. I’ll just do weighted pull-ups and kneeling low rows on the FreeMotion for now.

Why Sorinex outside of brand name? Rogue has a lot more widgets for their racks. The quality is equal IMO.

For me, it's because I already have a sorinex hurricane. I want to add 2 post in the center of a regular rack and put the hurricane arms on the adjustable jammer trolleys.
Also I prefer the width of the sorinex and rep racks vs rogue. Pretty much all rogue accessories fit sorinex along with rep and vice versa.
I also like the 4 way hole design without the keyhole. Keyhole could be great but they don't take advantage of it.
I have decided if I'm doing rep or sorinex when I go to do it. Rep has the side holes offset and sorinex doesn't.
Alot will depend on how I do in crypto over the next year. Keep doing well and I will splurge.
I want a new rack, turn the hurricane into a full rack with bridge between the two. I wanna do the adjustable jammer arms on both snd might do rogue jammers inside one of the racks too with the short arms. I would like the hurricane one to also have the weight stacks with top and bottom pulleys for the jammer arms to hook to.
Then trade my Ghd for a ghd/reverse hypertrophy combo. I might just modify my existing rogue to make that happen or I might buy sorinex.
I want to trade my sorinex pulldown for a new lat/row combo. I'm not sure on brand. Would like sorinex but that's extra money just to do it.
Also gonna buy the squat max MD with the box squat and the two bench connections.
I want to put the henny attachment on one of the racks.
Bunch of other smaller stuff too. We move in this summer and I'm just gonna keep same as I had before....for now but it's getting changed out sooner rather than later.

That sounds awesome but can you draw in Paint your Sorinex setup that you have in your mind?
Posted on 2/26/21 at 10:05 pm to GeorgeTheGreek
Ha, this ain't shaggy bevo, just have to wait until I get it.
Today I hit it again
Ring pushups supersetted with fat grip neutral grip Chins- 3 sets
Ring pushups supersetted with heavy strict kb rows- 3 sets
Banded kb deadlift- worked up to an rpe 8- 70lb bells plus two purple bands and medium band from elitefts. These are easy to pull fast off the floor as almost a speed deadlift, but are hard as fuxk at lockout.

Last night continued my simple
push
pull
squat/hinge
carry
pattern
hit-
Strict KB Press- 3 set of 6 with 53lb bells
Strict Neutral Fat Grip Chins- 3 sets- 8/7/6
KB Goblet Squat- 3 sets of 5 with 70lbs bell- These I do very slow with a 3 second pause at the bottom way below paralell

I ddi pretty good on the diet this weekend especially for it being a travel ball weekend and having to get best stop for the kids and wife mutiple times this weekend. Not perfect but not bad.
Back on the fasting until sundown train today and very strict no carbs. Got another tournament for one of my other sons this weekend so I need to stay for strict during the week.
