That's cheap if it's a real cryo machine. You only do like 3 minutes at a time, and yes it works. You don't need to do it every day, probably once or twice a week

I have done Cryotherapy several times and you definitely feel great afterwards. Could easily be placebo though.

I've only done it when I got a deal ($30-$50 bucks per session) and I would not pay $75 bucks. As said above, it literally takes 3 minutes so I have no clue why they would keep you for a half hour.

Long story short, I am bigger into ice baths and this can be done for $8-$12 bucks per session.

Did one yesterday.

Gonna do another after my 8th workout of the week tomorrow.

Does this entail just throwing a few bags of store bought ice into your bath tub?

Question.... I was told the best way to get started with ice baths was to get in the tub, then start with the cold water and ice vs stepping into a filled ice bath.

Yep exactly. I buy 3 large bags (66lbs total) and use my bathtub. Fill the tub up with cold water and let 80% of the ice melt. Mine is typically around 42 degrees.

Major downside here is it only hits your lower half, but there are ways you can lean back to get your upper body.

There’s also more legit and expensive ways to set this up (chest freezer, ice barrel, etc), but for now I use my bathtub.

This makes sense, but I’ve never done it. Just jumped into ice baths with ice.

Actually, the easiest way to jump into this space would be to try cold showers. This is only effective in the winter as it’s hard to get cold water in the summer (in the south at least).

So if you want to test this space out, end your shower with as cold of water as you can get. Start with 10 seconds and work your way up to 1-3 minutes. By the time we are in full on winter you should be able to get an awesome rush.

Its legit, it does work, but it is so damn overpriced. The actual nitrogen used is about $1.50 per 30 minutes FWIW.

Cryo is amazing. At a CrossFit comp my legs were dead and I had a snatch ladder less than an hour away. Cryo was like bringing me back from the dead. Same concept as ice bath except it takes 3 minutes instead of 10-15 and it’s more effective I think
