Committed to working out after after taking a few years off. Questions:

Do people still load up on pre workouts?
Even if working out at 6:00 or 7:00 AM?
Do people still drink protein after workouts?
I’d kind of prefer my first meal to be around 11:00 AM a few hours after my workout. Kind of an IF deal. I want to see gains, but would prefer not to ingest a pre workout drink at 6:00 AM followed by protein shortly after.
Would rather not workout later in the day...
Thoughts on this? What do you do?

No just straight caffeine via pills or coffee

Yes whey protein

You’re not a professional athlete you’ll see gains as long as you eat correctly at the proper macros regardless of nutrient timing. Knock out your workout and ingest your food as you see fit.

I used to wake up early to workout and hated taking pre workout and even coffee after basically rolling out of bed.
Caffeine pills do something, but not really a big advocate of them.
What did work oddly enough involved two simple things I did every morning: 1. Jumped out of bed. Wake up and immediately exert the energy it takes to throw yourself up and onto your feet, safely of course. 2. Cold shower. I’m talking to the point where you can barely stand to be under it just shivering and moving about, enduring it, type of cold.
