Broke my ankle and in a cast for a month, I was told not to put weight on it until cast comes off. What are some exercises and lifts I can do to try and stay active until this hell is over? I do have access to a Bowflex and dumbbells but going to the gym is not an option.
Any help would be appreciated, I’m already tired of sitting around and not being able to do anything.

Have they not mentioned physical therapy at some point?

Broke mine a couple years ago and I just kept doing upper stuff that I could do on a bench. RIP your leg gains.

Probably will, but I’m not close to that yet. I am just trying to do what I can to get some kind of workout since I can’t do cardio.

I’ve heard of athletes doing deadlifts if they have a hard cast and they lose very little overall strength, maybe look into that

Battle ropes.

I shredded my groin in July 2019 and battle ropes became my best friend. Didn’t lose an ounce of conditioning. Those things suck. You can get one for around $50 bucks on Amazon.
