Going to be joining a boxing gym soon. It is mostly a class on a heavy bag so looking for gloves with good padding. Any recommendations??

Go to Academy and get a pair of Everlast gloves that look like they are padded enough for you. However, alot of pure boxing gyms have tons of gloves just lying around so I would investigate that before dropping the cash on a new pair.

When the OP starts doing Golden Gloves then I guess the OP could upgrade but Academy does sell Everlast stuff. Everlast equipment has only been in the boxing equipment game since like Ali was champ so I figure they wouldn't still be around if their stuff was junk.

UFC Gym on Acadian or Sherwood. Call and ask to speak to Darius or Thomas.

16oz gloves at Academy. That's all you need. Use that and some hand wraps and you won't have any issues.
