I noticed my father-in-law had had a can of bone broth protein. He said it was the latest craze with several health benefits. What's the deal? I'm reading an article in it, but like to come here for your B.S. Meter. Is this stuff good?

What exactly is it good for? Does it even make things taste good?

There aren't really miracle foods. We all need variety/balance. Broths are mostly water, have micro-nutrients, and some of the flavor of what went into it. If you need to jazz up some foods it is an easy goto without adding much in the way of calories.
For food you can cook with it, an example instead of grilling a chicken breast you can put some in a sauce pan with the chicken and then throw your veggies in at the same time or afterwards to get a little more/different flavor in your meal. Anything that calls for water you can substitute all or some of the water for broth to give a different flavor.

It's more than just flavor. I read an article that it was one of 3 Lakers staples a few years ago. Butter, bacon, and bone broth. Looks like they were doing a form of Keto. Lots of healthy fats and grass-fed beef. Very few carbs which seems counterproductive for guys that run so much. Still reading about it. Got sidetracked yesterday.
