I was reading through some of your material and stumbled no the Houston Texan training guide. The nutrition guide says to get 60% of calories with carbs, 25% from fat, and 15% from protein. This statement really caught me off guard and I wondered if this was mainly because this is for athletes that need a lot of energy.

Yes, when you are training for a sport like that, many times carbs will be recommended to be higher. It's an out dated and stupid practice though.
