The prep was the worst part. The best thing about a colonoscopy is the excuse to take a nap after. That nap was amazing!

Just went through this exact thing. Had a colonoscopy to be sure, I'm 44. They pushed the recommended colonoscopy age to 45 so they said now I don't need one for another 15 years. I'd just go ahead and do it if I were you, they'll probably say the same.
I was scheduled to go get mine banded, but the thing burst before I could do it. Nature ran its course.

Internal hemorrhoid I’d bet. I had same thing. Required surgery which fixed it permanently. 3 days post were a living hell though.

Correct.
They often resolve on their own and come back from time to time, then go away again.
My PCP wasn't concerned when I had my last checkup.
