Once you hit a goal weight after cutting weight, what is the best method for finding your maintenance? I work a stationary office job, but do lift weights and conditioning/cardio at least 5 days a week. I always struggle to find that happy medium between not eating enough or eating too much.

I'm about 6-7 pounds from my goal weight. M-F I consume 1500-1800 calories, Saturday and Sunday 1000-1500. When I hit my goal weight I'll add 500 calories/day and see how my weight fluctuates. I've lost 28 pounds in 6 and a half weeks. So I'm thinking I could add 1,000 calories/day and be good, but I'll start with 500 calories/day

Online calorie calculators are pretty good they aren’t always exact but are pretty good to use as a base and tweak slightly if you even need to.

Most of these do a good job for RMR they seem to differ when it comes to TDEE.

It'll vary depending on cold/hot in the office and house, if you're sick, what you eat, when you eat, protein intake, and if your dog is in a good mood (you don't own a cat, because you are an American). It is all a wild (~3-400 calories) guesstimate unless you go into a chamber.

in my experience once you hit a weight goal after cutting you should reverse diet back up to your maintenance calories. continue to monitor the scales and add 100 calories per day each week until you start to see the weight go up. don't be surprised if you still lose another pound or two in the first few weeks as you add back calories as your metabolism adjusts to your new calorie intake.
