I was recently prescribed a topical solution called Pennsaid 2% for my knee. The packaging says it is only to be used on the knees, and I was curious why it was limited to knees only.

Can anyone explain why it's limited to knees only?

Thanks for any input you may have!

That’s odd since it’s still diclofenac like Voltaren gel.

Sounds like it’s just a money grab to make in a different formulation whereas pennsaid is a topical solution

I was prescribed it for my shoulder. Have a partial tear of my labrum. It knocked the inflammation out in 2 weeks and I've been good since.... 2 years. There is a 1% version available over the counter.
