Was diagnosed with arthritis at my ac joint (acromioclavicular joint)

While thankfully not in my rotator cuff it has become a pain trying to get back in shape. Cortisone shot has helped but it still flames up somewhat while trying to exercise, only had my 1st shot of that recently. I don't have any restrictions on movement and no pain unless working out, pushups or bench is the worst for it so far. It is suspected that it came from the trama of a motorcycle wreck landing on that shoulder and breaking my collarbone. Doesn't run in the family and it's the only place I have it. Haven't tried since the shot but before could only throw a football or baseball a few times also before the burn.

Any creams or something out there that help for short term relief while working out ?

You probably have a Rotator cuff tear. Some sort of SLAP tear.

Have you tried a chiropractor? Might just be some pressure built up.

Wife works at orthopedic clinic and they did x-rays and a MRI. Got the family discount. I was looking up stuff on it and found that trama could end up giving you arthritis. It's mild so I usually don't feel it but trying to lift again that's a different story.

He did say I could try a cream but didn't have any suggestions on a particular one.

Start with band work, maybe do a few sessions with a PT.
I’ve developed tendonitis and inflammation in arms and shoulder and besides the band work, only thing I found that helped was dry needling and scraping. Some chiros and PTs do that type of treatment.
