Anyone with Type 1 Diabetes on here?

Just curious. I have had type 1 for 20 years and am a n=1 guinea pig. Would love to connect with others to see how they are managing the disease "outside the box"of conventional wisdom.

I don't but I'd like to follow your n=1s.
Do you have a continuous glucose monitor? I want the new Dexcom G6.
Eta: walkinlab.com is an n=1er's paradise.
Curious: Have you done a genetic screen?

I do, not a Dex. Samsung is working on a nonRx CGM for general public- several other companies as well. Getting CGM without insurance is a pretty penny at this point.

Yeah, they should be mainstream consumer in a couple years.

My name is Stephen Richert–I’m a documentary adventure photographer. I also happen to live with type 1 diabetes (since 1999). I originally started LivingVertical as a platform to share my adventures and photography projects. I wanted to reach other people like me with a reminder that we can own our story despite the challenges we live with. Adventure photography gave me an opportunity to create something new and positive from my story–that’s the basis of all my work.

Checking walk-in lab out, thanks for the info.
No to genetic screening- too scary for someone with 2 autoimmune diseases (I also have Hashi's thyroiditis). Conspiracy theorist in me makes me nervous that the companies that run these tests have the right to share him with third parties. Makes you paranoid that you could lose your insurance in the future. #Psychoticconspiracytheorist
Huge fan of living vertical

I totally agree. I have taken my conspiracy theories to a new level, where I know they're pretty much all true, and I'm devising an information inflation plan to combat the conspiracies.
I'm pretty sure I will end up in the gulag regardless, after I run out of veggie oil for my diesel bugout truck and they find me in my cave.
