I did a 36 hour fast last Sun-Tues and never felt better. I got a headache after breaking the fast, but felt great during. 24-36 hour had more energy than I've had in a while.

I will try 48 hours soon.

Is intermittent fasting only long periods of fasting? I don’t do those but I do intermittent fast in 16hr/8hr ratios. So 16hrs fast then all of my calories for the day between 12pm and 8pm. I’m still counting my calories but it works great for me and keeps me from eating around the clock.

Watching Thomas DeLauer's YouTube channel for info on prolonged fasting. Lots of upsides.

No, there are several different periods that people do. The longer the fast, the more benefits such as fat burn, increase HGH, autophagy

I just got done reading Attia’s book, and he was very pro fasting for the past several years. In the book he changed his tune and recommends 1 meal a day or prolonged fasts to only his most metabolically wrecked/obese patients. Basically said you lose too much muscle during prolonged fasts and patients were losing weight but their body composition was also suffering.
