Anyone experience a TFCC (wrist) injury?

Had a biking accident 4 weeks ago and have had this pain since then. No swelling or anything was present, but could not pronate my wrist very far. Wrist would pop if I pressed my hand on something. It's gotten better over this time but still feel some pain if I do certain things. Starting to get into some stretches and light weight training. Will feel some discomfort during these exercises but not nearly anything like the first week or so after the accident. What is the typical recovery time? I was hoping after 3 months it'd be ok, but I'm reading people saying it's been a year and their wrist still is in pain... yikes. Any tips?

Did you tear it? It usually heals up in 4-6 weeks, but if you tore it then its much much longer of a recovery time.

I have not gotten any imaging done to confirm. Through self-diagnosis, I’m assuming it’s at least partially torn.

Have you immobilized it at all? Even for a partially torn TFCC I’d be in some sort of immobilization for a couple weeks.
Not to sound like a prick, but all the exercises and rehab won’t do much if you don’t give it time to heal. Hope that helps.

It’s been in a splint the last 3 weeks. I just started the stretches a few days ago as I thought that was enough time to let pass before starting to try and get some ROM and such back in my wrist.

Yea that was a good call. I think you may at the point for an MRI.

Should probably get it checked out. Someone I know had to be in a hard cast from their wrist all of the way up to their shoulder for 6 weeks.

Would you use this at all times instead of a typical splint?
