Anyone done amateur powerlifting meets?

Interested in trying one, just for fun and to see what it's like. I don't train strictly for powerlifting, I do crossfit programming with a heavier emphasis on strength - it just happens that my best lifts are power lifts.
If I hit all my current maxes of 325 bench/555 dead/425 squat, it would be a total of 1305 pounds at 190 body weight. Would that be a decent score? I know it wouldn't win, but would it at least be average for a meet? Just don't want to look like I shouldn't be there.

You'd be in the 198 class. You wouldn't get laughed at, but you wouldn't win. Why is your deadlift so much more than your squat?

Louisiana high school powerlifting records for 198's are: Squat 660, Bench 435, Dead 725, and Total 1780.

Not sure. Just have a good deadlift. Maybe it's an issue with my squat form

Learn the cues for the federation. Practice them and make sure you are dead set on openers. I went with an opener I could hit a triple with in the gym.
Figure if you want to be suited/shirt or raw. Practice with the equipment you plan on using. Knee wraps, belt, sleeves, etc...

He'd win. I've won the 198 lb class every time I've done it and my bench (my weakest) is 308, squat 405, and deadlift was 530. He'd beat me and that's perfectly fine. We should do a meet together.

I did an unofficial meet at college. I was 197lbs and did 435 bench, 575 squat, 575 deadlift. I wasn't good at deadlifts back then or I would have been higher.
I didn't win, guy who won the bench did 465 and could have done more but it was his 3rd attempt. Tied squat. Deadlift was a freak who did 715.
