After losing 85 lbs and going from a 38 waist to a 30, I still have loose skin on my lower stomach, love handles, lats and butt. I don't really have money for surgery or anything like that.

Some. Been doing more back excercises with dumb bells the last 3 or 4 months minus 4 weeks for an ankle sprain.

Eta: I'm definitely not a heavy lifter though. I've been doing more weighted push ups, pull ups, squats and lunges. I'm 5'8" 165 right now, 18% body fat. I don't care to get a lot bigger. Maybe 5 or 10 lbs, but want to tighten up.

Was your weight a lifetime issue or something that happened later in life? The amount of time you carried the weight around will make a difference. I was overweight all my life and when I lost over 200 pounds I had the same issue but probably worse. Even when I was in the best shape of my life I still had loose skin
especially around the belly button. Other areas on the body will tighten up much easier, especially if you implement lifting into your routine.

Lifetime fatty and I know that's the problem. I'm 42 and didn't start seriously getting in shape and diet until 37. To make things even worse, my legs and arms have never been fat. All of that far was in my torso. I think I'm stuck with the extra skin, but thought I would ask since we have this wonderful new board.

Like you surgery isn't an option for me and even if it was I'm not sure I would do it. Loose skin is really the only thing I'm self conscious about but I've learned to live with it. I can't say if any of the many products out there work because I haven't tried any but I have my doubts.

My doctor said to use lotion, so I looked up the best lotion and came up with Dr. Palmer's Cocoa Butter. I've been using it after showers. I've seen some results, but it's hard to know if it's really the lotion or the workouts.
